None - Jack has no superhuman ability, he is not a Special by any means. Instead, he is a ’Normal.’ His abilities are a general lack of gracefulness, the power to keep someone from burning the house down with kitchen misadventures, being constantly underestimated, having some basic fighting skills and being loyal to the end. He is more capable than people assume, more dedicated to protecting others, and being quite possibly too noble for his own good. His family and friends are his core protective circle, and he would gladly sacrifice himself for them, without seeing it as any sort of martyrdom. Feel free to underestimate the boy, he does not mind overly much, and will likely surprise you. |

| Jack is nearly exactly what he appears on the surface, a happy, somewhat naïve, and overly noble teenager. He’s goofy, loves comic books, science fiction, every possible sport that makes his blood pump, and his family. Because of his upbringing, he not only tries to see the best in all of those around him, but also has a deep sense of loyalty for those he feels he has to protect. As in all those weaker and/or smaller than him. Holding grudges, subterfuge and seething anger are things entirely foreign to the boy. Even if he had the incentive to commit any of those three, which he does not, his basic nature of embracing honesty and optimism would work against any of his efforts. It is just not in him to hold onto negative feelings for more than a moment. It would take quite a bit for Jack to get truly angry, and then the feeling would be fleeting at best. He is out of his depth in the world of Specials, but he is not unaware of this fact. So many have powers that give them the ability to either hurt others or defend themselves, and he has only what he was born with. Still, he risks everything, because it is right in his mind to do so. To others, it might seem that he has the choice to walk away, to return to his normal life and never look back. To Jack, there is no other choice but to dive in and try to help save the world. |
